I don't have an acceptable ID. Can I still have a document notarized?
Usually. If none of the types of ID indicated are accessible or it's too difficult for the signer to get them, two other people with ID can swear to the signer's identity. The two witnesses must be above 18, have proper identification ready for inspection and recording, and swear or affirm under penalty of perjury that they know the signer. They must also witness and sign the notary journal.
